I'd offer $600....hard to tell from the photos, but it looks like it has a black seat instead of the Jubilee version and the front fender looks to be chrome or stainless instead of the Jubilee paint scheme....poor bike looks like it's had a hard life...
It could be it's registered as a '78 but these models were built and sold for the '77 season.
Still, if it's matching numbers and has the letter 'J' appended to the frame and engine numbers, and the seat and fenders are correct (and chainguard that can't be seen) it's be worth a restore....

So Steve you talking yourself into buying it, be nice to see a pigeon pair in your shed mate............your North America export version and do this one as a home market model, breadbox tank and flat bars. Go on mate you know you want to.
Cheers, Trev
PS, there were actualy 2,400 of these made and not 1,000 as everybody mistakenly believes.

LOL Trev I wish!
I have the home market 'bars mounted already (MUCH more comfortable).....I have some bits collected tho: Jubilee home market tank (breadbin), "Limited Edition" badges and UK blunt-nose Jubilee seat cover....
All I need is the UK seat foam (I have an extra pan), some gaiters and I'm good to go. In an hour or two, I'll be able to go from US model to home model!
Cheers,
Steve
