I am rebuilding my 1972 Lightning and have replaced the header pipes with a new set. They are a standard set of push in headers with a welded bracket that is held in place by the front engine mounting bolt. When I bolt them up they seem to sit to close to the frame. I cant remember if there is a spacer that sits between the bracket and frame lug to space the pipes out a touch or if the mounting bracket is just held in place by the front engine mounting bolt without any spacing. The parts book shows no spacers but it seems the only way to keep the pipes off the frame under the motor. Can anybody help?
