I have a norton powered 750 made by you guessed it, everybody. Anyway I bored it and installed what the box said was 11-1 pistons, new valves etc. I set the timing at 28 degrees as was recommended. The bike has 160lbs of compression. The 1962 engine in a amc frame is a matchless. Mono-carbs which have been rebuilt. Problem is although I can kick the bike over good, will not start, maybe get it to fire one little fart. If I tow the bike it starts and runs real well, but at a idle after a few seconds it studders and stalls, if I keep reving the thing it will stay running. Tried 110 octane fuel and run worse. Have a magneto but didn't do anything with it. Seem to have good blue spark when kicking over so let it alone. Did check the advance and seems to be okay, please any help.
