I have had my 68 Bonnie for about 5 years now. When I first purchased it, it started easily and idled perfectly. Last summer the left cylinder started to miss on start up but would smooth out as it warmed up. This summer the left is not firing at all. I have cleaned both carbs thoroughly. The left plug is sparking with a nice blue spark but the cylinder is not firing. What could I check next? It has the original points set-up. I have not checked the timing yet.

If you have spark at the plug then it can only be a fuel blockage or maybe a sticky valve - i.e the exhaust or inlet valve is stuck open and you have no compression. However start with the easy stuff first swap the plugs over.If the left side starts with the plug out of the right it just may be a faulty spark plug. Good luck with it. Let us know how you go.
