Hi all--Got my bike running today and am trying to find out how to tune with this electronic stuff. When it was points you could set it with the engine lock and it was fine. With no engine marks there's no way to use a timing light. Any suggestions? Also, it seems to be running hot with high idle and some popping/backfiring. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, John from Montana.

Hi John;
Don't know which electronic set up you have, but the instructions you don't have could be found online in any number of places. I used a strobe light to set my Boyer. Haven't touched it in years. You Tube has several videos for doing this and I would suggest you start there first. Post us some pictures. Would like to see your bike.
Regards, Mike

Mike

I just found your other post where you state you have a Boyer. Should be a piece of cake.
