Hi, I need to dismantle my C15 frame into three pieces, I have removed the rear sub frame and I need to removed the swinging arm. Do you drive out the spindle or is there a locking bolt to remove first? There is a bolt screwed into the frame, on top, which looks as if it may be some sort of locking device, but mine is welded in. Can anybody help?

Im no expert on C15s but removal of any swinging arm should be simply a matter of driving out the pivot shaft from one side after the nuts have been removed. If yours is welded in it sounds like a very bogey repair at some point in the past. It is a problem with older bikes that they have had so much done to them by multiple owners over 30 40 50 or 60 years that you really dont know why opr what has been done. How long have you owned the bike?
